In this irreverent musical, six quirky young teens

With all of the accompanying “angst” which that age brings

Compete in the Spelling Bee, run by three grown-ups

 Who don’t act like grown-ups, some grown-ups would say

But that’s part of the fun in this new musical play.

Where they learn that winning isn’t all it’s cracked up to be

And losing doesn’t make you a loser, you see.
